Kingdom Ministries’ Faith Maternity Care of Mid-Missouri is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt, faith-based ministry providing housing and other assistance, according to God’s word, to young mothers who choose life for their baby. We are classified by the State of Missouri as a maternity home.
Along with the Alternatives to Abortion Grant from the State of Missouri, we are financially supported by donations from individuals, churches, and organizations. We rely completely on our Lord and Savior through the gifts and donations of His people, to meet the needs of the residents and the ministry of Faith Maternity Care of Mid-Missouri. We receive A2A grant funds from the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as a part of the financial assistance award totally $236,363.00 with 61% of funding from ACF/HHS and 39% funded by non-government sources.
Our Maternity Home
Faith Maternity Care ministry began in July 2002 by founders Alan and Neena Lord. While serving as director of the local crisis pregnancy center in Fulton, Neena saw many young women in unplanned pregnancies with no place to turn. The need to provide a Christian home environment for these young women as a means to battle the perceived need for abortion became evident at the Holy Spirit’s prompting. A home was initially purchased by Alan and Neena to fulfill this purpose, and God’s people responded in support.
In September 2008, the ministry purchased a larger home to serve as the permanent residence of the ministry. We now serve up to four women and with up to two children each and their pre-born babies in the home. We serve up to 20 women living in the community each year with our wrap around services. The ministry is growing, and God continues to provide for the resident’s needs through His people. We are blessed with dedicated staff and board members who love and serve the Lord, the ministry, and the residents.
